Clinical Supervision

$200 per hour

Nindy offers board-approved supervision services to provisional and generally registered psychologists. Complex neuropsychological assessment, dissociation, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities are Nindy’s main focus areas. Nindy also supervises therapeutic work (mainly ACT and [TF-]CBT, along with emotion processing and schema therapy approaches) and is completing EMDR training.

Provisional psychologists access a $20 discount ($180 per hour) to invest in the next generation of psychologists and acknowledge the financial pressure of university and internship programs. Nindy has completed the 5+1 program themself and subsequently has a good understanding of the program and its requirements, including case reports and the NPE. Nindy is also overseas-trained and is happy to support psychologists transitioning from work in different countries. Nindy can facilitate sessions in Dutch and offer additional insights into the differences in mental health systems for practitioners who have migrated from The Netherlands.

Consultation

$200 per hour

Educators and allied health professionals who work with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent populations and/or who regularly come across the impact of trauma and learning differences in their line of work can seek ad-hoc consultations with Nindy. Nindy is especially keen to assist with classroom accommodations and neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed approaches to education and treatment.

Nindy is influenced by Dr Ross Greene’s Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) approach and takes the stance that people do well when they can. Nindy views behaviours as means of communication and is eager to support others to explore the function of behaviours and consider both environmental and intrinsic impacts (e.g., a skill that has not yet been mastered). Nindy has previously worked directly with teachers in a secondary special education context in The Netherlands and in preschool and primary education contexts in Australia and regularly consults with educators and allied health professionals in their practice.

Professional Development

Price determined upon request.

Education or allied health practices can contact Nindy to request that they arrange staff training (professional development) into such topics as neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+ populations, and trauma. Nindy also enjoys teaching others how to administer assessment tools and providing ‘deep-dives’ into differential diagnosis or how to spot signs of neurodevelopmental differences in the classroom or therapy room.

Nindy has previously instructed in such topics as ACT, CBT, Specific Learning Disorders (e.g., dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia) and Developmental Language Disorder, and in the use of CHC theory in psychoeducational assessments. Nindy enjoys preparing case vignettes and ethical decision-making scenarios, and they have previously developed a large print version of the WJ IV COG in collaboration with Vision Australia. Nindy is happy to consider any requests that are within their scope of practice, although their ability to offer training may fluctuate with their capacity. Price is determined based on time investment and travel costs.

Please note that Nindy is not currently registered for GST, meaning that all services are GST-free.

Nindy is currently offering online supervision / consultation sessions on Wednesday afternoons, although other days and times of the week can be arranged by emailing Nindy and outlining your availability, in which case Nindy will let you know if they can accommodate a session outside of their usual timeframe and whether their availability matches yours. Direct deposit is currently the only available payment method. You can book supervision or consultation sessions by emailing Nindy or by booking one of the standard Wednesday afternoon appointments using Nindy’s Google Calendar, after which they’ll contact you to confirm.
