About Nindy

Nindy is a generally registered psychologist and an Educational & Developmental Psychology registrar who is passionate about helping people understand their individual differences and empower them to live their best lives.

Nindy works as a Senior Psychologist at Raise the Bar Psychology, a private practice in Heatherton, Victoria. Nindy’s primary focus area is psycho-educational assessment, including the identification of neurodevelopmental differences (with a special interest in identifying highly masked Autism and ADHD), the impact of trauma (both physical and psychological) on brain functioning, and complex differential assessment of mental health conditions and personality functioning.

Nindy also offers pre- and post-assessment consultations to clients to support them to decide if an assessment is appropriate for them and assist with actioning assessment recommendations. Nindy is trained in (Trauma-Focussed) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and has previously supported clients from age 8 to adulthood with such challenges as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and structural dissociation.

Nindy has experience supervising fourth year psychology projects and lecturing in psychology and counselling programs and enjoys passing their knowledge on to others. As an agender and autistic individual with lived experience of the fostercare system, Nindy prides themself on looking beyond societal expectations of what is ‘typical’, and challenging themself and others to look beyond a person’s external presentation.
